After a week and a half at home, we continue to keep both babies alive and have even managed to shower once or twice ourselves!
In honor of Prematurity Awareness Month, Children’s asked us to write a blog post for their Kid’s Health Blog. Bryn & Nora jumped at the chance to share their story on another part of the interweb:
http://www.childrensmn.org/blog/kidshealth/2012/11/preemies-twins-27-weeks/
The home health nurse came again today and Nora has hit 8 pounds!!
And little Miss Bryn is a whopping 6 pounds!
These two chunkers are loving their new digs
Here’s a little live spit-up action for you. Bonus footage of Nora rubbing her face in it (over and over and over).
Thanksgiving has new meaning for us this year. We hope you all have just as much to celebrate. =)

I just finished reading your article on Star Tribune. I actually saw you both at the NICU at Children’s. Our son was born at 35 weeks, and had a lot of issues that required 38 days of hospitalization. Nothing like what you went through, but I can totally appreciate your experience on so many levels. My husband and I saw you both in the cafeteria and we commented because of your husband’s I make Twins, what is your super power. We loved it. I am so glad to see them doing well at home! Take care. Read the article in the Star Tribune and had to read the entire blog…such a touching story. Hope and pray that all continues to go well for you. Am looking forward to future posts as your amazing story continues. My youngest daughter loved the pictures of the girls.

Hi, I read your story in the Strib and had to get in touch. My family’s story is parallel to yours in nearly every way except we’ve got boys. Dr. Bendel-Stenzel was even their doctor. Today, our boys are 9 years old and amazing! Good luck to all of you. Everything seems a lot easier when things start out so hard.

Our son, Sam Addler, and his wife, Roz, had told us about your babies…they were here for Thanksgiving weekend when we saw the article! So cool! Beautiful little girls…so glad you are all home and they can continue to grow!
God’s blessings on your family…we’re just grandparents loving on our grandchildren!!

Congrats! Our daughter Ruby Love was down the hall from the twins in the ICC, I used to walk past their room everyday on my way to visit her and think what cute names they have
I saw your article in Star Tribune, we can totally relate since Ruby was born at 25.5 weeks. I’m so glad the twins made it home and are doing so well! ~Lauren

Sounds all too familiar! Our daughter was born at 25 weeks and 1 lb 10 oz. She is now a healthy, bubbly, spunky 9.5 year old. Still a bit on the petite side, and wears a very cool pair of purple glasses. It’s so amazing to think about how far she’s come, and you will get there too, thinking back to where the time has gone! Best of luck with your bundles of joy!!
